How we handle your details.

Who we are
Builders Circle Africa is a pan-African ecosystem of founders, operators, investors and ecosystem players. We are responsible for the personal details you share through this website. You can reach us at hi@builderscircle.org.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us through our forms:
- your name, email address and, if you add it, your phone number
- your city, role, organisation and what you are building
- anything you write in a message
- for founder profiles: your startup, links, logo and demo link
If we measure visits to the site, we use privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies or identify you. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- to review membership applications and reply to you
- to answer partnership and corporate enquiries
- to organise gatherings in your city chapter
- to publish a founder profile, only if you submit one and we approve it
Who can see it
Our team and the volunteer leads of your city chapter. We never sell your details. We use a small number of service providers to run the site: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (our database) and Resend (email). They process your details only on our behalf, and some of them may store data outside Ghana.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for the reasons above. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), and the GDPR if you are in the EU or UK, you can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, delete them, or stop us using them. Email hi@builderscircle.org and we will reply within 30 days.
Changes
If we change how we handle your details, we will update this page and the date at the top.
