Community guidelines.
Builders Circle works because members trust each other. These guidelines apply at our events, in our online groups and anywhere you represent the Circle.
Come as a builder
Everyone in the Circle is building, backing or supporting a company right now. Come with something to share, not just something to sell.
Give before you ask
Make introductions, share what you have learned and answer questions when you can. Help comes back around.
Respect everyone
No harassment, bullying or discrimination of any kind, for any reason. Disagree with ideas, not people.
No hard selling or spam
Don't pitch people who haven't asked. No mass messages, and don't add members to mailing lists or groups without their permission.
Keep confidences
What members share in the room stays in the room. Don't record, screenshot or pass on private conversations, decks or numbers without permission.
Introduce people properly
Ask both people before you connect them. When someone makes an introduction for you, follow up and let them know how it went.
Be honest
Describe yourself, your company and your progress truthfully. Don't use the Builders Circle name or logo to suggest we endorse you without our written permission.
Show up
If you register for an event, come, or cancel so someone else can have your place. Be on time and look after our hosts and venues.
Photos at events
We take photos at our gatherings and share some of them online. If you would rather not be photographed, tell one of the team on the night and we will make sure you are left out.
If something goes wrong
Speak to your city lead or any of the team, or email hi@builderscircle.org. We treat every report in confidence. Depending on what happened, we may give a warning, ask someone to leave an event or our groups, or end their membership.
Last updated 19 October 2026. We may update these guidelines as the Circle grows.
